South Bay Focus 2014
Contemporary and Traditional Art Juried Exhibition

South Bay Focus is Torrance Art Museum’s annual Contemporary and Traditional Juried art exhibition. The 2014 South Bay Focus is presented in conjunction with the Torrance Artists Guild and the South Bay Watercolor Society. This year's Juror is Scott Canty, Director and Curator of the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery.

Any forms or fees arriving after this date will be disallowed.

Email only one 72dpi jpeg image for each of the 2 works you wish the Juror to review to: TAM2014SBF@yahoo.com.
All selections will be made via the email submissions.

REMEMBER

1. Have all work ready to hang. This includes special hardware.
2. Attach a label to the back of the work with your name, title and contact details.
3. Entry form is available for download or online submission on this page.
4. All artworks are submitted at the owner’s risk and TAM will not be held responsible for any       
    damage that may occur.

Entry Form Rules & Regulations

1. You may apply with 2 works only. Both works may be accepted by the Juror.
The Jurors selection is final and is not open to appeal. The processing fee does not guarantee inclusion in this show

2. Painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, video, and photography only are eligible.
If you are submitting time-based work, please provide a direct link in your submission email.
 This may be from Vimeo, YouTube, or a personal artist website.

All artwork must be accompanied with their own pedestals and/or equipment, if required.
Craft arts, graphic arts, jewelry and giclees are not eligible.

There are no size restrictions.

3. Artists must live and/or work in these South Bay cities to be eligible to participate:
Gardena, Harbor City, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Lawndale, Lomita, Long Beach, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, Palos Verdes Peninsula, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, San Pedro, Torrance and El Segundo and/or have current membership in the Torrance Artist's Guild or the South Bay Water Color Society.

4. Artists may NOT sell work from the show and TAM staff and volunteers will not participate in any sales. No works may leave the museum until the final collection day (12/06/14).

REMEMBER – you MUST complete these three tasks to qualify for selection:

1.    Fill out the online submission or mail in a hard copy.

2.    Email only one 72 dpi jpeg image for each of the 2 works you wish the Juror to review to
 TAM2014SBF@yahoo.com.
Include “SBF 2014 Submission” in the subject line of the email.
Attach images to the email.  Name files as such: SBF2014_Lastname_Title
Type the Artist/artwork details in the body of the email (your name, title of the work, year, medium, dimensions)

3.    Mail your $30 non-refundable processing fee POSTMARKED BY SEPTEMBER 20, 2014

DEADLINE

Deadline for applications is September 20th. Entries will NOT be accepted after this date. All artists will be notified of the selections by October 4th  2014. Delivery of accepted artworks is Saturday, October 25th, 11am – 2pm ONLY. Collection after the show closes is Saturday, December 6th, 1pm - 3pm. Any work left uncollected by 3pm will be considered unwanted and disposed of by staff unless prior notice has been given to TAM staff and an alternative collection date agreed.
