The Torrance Art Museum is the South Bay's most extensive resource for the interpretation of the visual arts.

The Torrance Art Museum is located at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center in the City of Torrance. The Museum encourages all people to develop and increase their understanding and appreciation for modern and contemporary artwork via a variety of exhibitions offered in its three gallery spaces, as well as educational programs, artist talks, lectures, and symposia. The Museum also serves as a site for local community arts groups to display and promote artistic expression in the South Bay.

The mission of TAM is to "invigorate, delight and fascinate Torrance residents and the South Bay community by exhibiting and interpreting works of visual arts." Through its emphasis on contemporary artistic expression in Southern California, the Torrance Art Museum brings together visual artists and community members; fosters personal and civic well being by inspiring understanding and appreciation of the visual arts; promotes meaningful experiences in the arts to strengthen creative and critical thinking skills; and builds bridges between the visual arts and other disciplines in the humanities and sciences.

About the Museum:
The Torrance Art Museum is a program of the Cultural Services Division of the City of Torrance Community Services Department. The Cultural Services Division is responsible for City-sponsored arts and cultural initiatives held at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center and throughout the City.
