Storytelling, museum visit & art workshop for children ages 6-11 and their parent or guardian. Happening during the Fall exhibitions: Material Matters, To Save The Day!, and Intentions.

Participants and their parents will meet at the Torrance Art Museum (3320 Civic Center Drive) for storytelling and a tour of the current exhibitions. Gallery Two features superheroes in contemporary art and the Dark Room contains an illuminated sandbox to play in - so this session will be particularly fun for children.

Following the tour, the participants will create artwork related to the afternoon’s activities located in the adjacent Children’s Art Wing of the Torrance Cultural Arts Center (3330 Civic Center Drive). A library booklist with related topics is distributed at the end of the Workshop. Children ages 6-11 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Call or email to make a reservation. Space is limited and registration is required. (Activity restricted to ages 6-11). Register for Stories in Art by calling 310-781-7163 or by sending an email request to our Outreach Specialist, Jason Jenn at jjenn@torranceca.gov
