GYPSY TRAILS GALLERY AND VENICE INSTITUTE OF CONTEMPORARY ART (VICA) PRESENT
THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MUSEUM TOUR
Launching their first year-long tour, the mobile art gallery Gypsy Trails Gallery, has teamed up with Venice Institute of Contemporary Art (ViCA), which is promoting the establishment of an art museum in Venice through the exhibitions of internationally recognized Southern California artists. From April 2015 through April 2016, shows will take place outside 12 Southern California Museums and close with a month-long group show at Studio FIVE08 in Santa Monica.
Twelve contemporary artists, all important artists, many who have exhibited in museums and part of prestigious collections, in varying styles and mediums, will be featured in weekend solo-exhibitions. Each show is unique and not to be missed.
Osceola Refetoff’s interest is in documenting humanity’s impact on the world – both the intersection of nature and industry, and the narratives of the people living at those crossroads. His process generally happens “in camera,” at the moment of capture, in a kind of alchemical reaction that transforms the external world through engagement with imagination, into something both unchanged and extraordinary.
On August 29, 2015, come view Refetoff's beautifully haunting photographs where the homes reflect the desert landscape in which they stand.
Gypsy Trails Gallery and the Venice Institute of Contemporary Art are excited to announce our 4th stop on our Museum Tour will be at the Torrance Art Museum!
